Teresa Santos (Vila do Conde, 1985) begins her studies in classical dance at the age of five and concludes in 2007 the Degree in Dance – Education, at Escola Superior de Dança (IPL). Since then, she has been a dance teacher in different educational spaces and contexts. She continues her training at Arsenale della Danza 2010, a training program in contemporary dance at the Venice Biennale, where she comes into contact with different dance techniques and artistic approaches. She participates in contact improvisation and choreographic composition workshops with different teachers. In the areas of photography and cinema, she participates in workshops with Nikos Economopoulos / Magnum Photos, Patrícia Nogueira and Ricardo Leites. In 2011 she co-founds vintiset.net, a multimedia project for artists. In the same year, she co-founds Ventos e Tempestades – Associação Cultural. In 2015, she co-founds FIS – Festival Internacional de Solos, co-produced with Cine-Teatro Garrett. In 2016 she founds Grito imagens, from which she directs and produces her personal work. At the same time, she performs in projects by different artists and structures, highlighting: Ready by Companhia Erva Daninha (2020), Dame du Cirque by troposfera.xyz (2019), MESA by Ana Renata Polónia (2014), uma forma quase cilíndrica by Teresa Santos / Companhia Ao Vento (2013), You Who Will In No Other Way of circumstance (2013), la femme inconnue by Jean Daniel Fricker (2012), Limites by Companhia Ao Vento (2012), 30por1linha and O Homem que só pensava em números by Pedro Carvalho / Companhia Instável (2011), Entre todas as coisas by Teresa Prima (2011) and Oxygen by Ismael Ivo (2010). She also participates in Manual de Instruções by Victor Hugo Pontes (2009) and Contre Bande by Martine Pisani (2005), as a member of the community.
