22/11/01 – Skatepark Tàrrega
Today we decided to go to Tàrrega. To get there, we have to travel for half an hour along the longest straight road in Catalonia. We had already seen the skatepark and coveted its bowl, but we hadn’t skated there yet. We were prepared to sweep because when we saw it, it was so dirty that it was impossible to skate. Due to some improvements in the space it was cleaner, but we were faced with another situation, this time meteorological. One of the walls, bathed in shadow, was completely covered with ice and, from the trajectory of the sun, we realized that it would be difficult to dry. We removed most of the ice water, so that if it thawed, it wouldn’t wet the rest of the bowl. Even “lame”, the bowl was skated until dark, when the cold fell. We felt like going back on a day without ice.
